Congregation Beth El, founded in 1932, is a
Conservative synagogue affiliated with the United Synagogue of
Conservative Judaism. The congregation adheres to a belief in a positive
attitude towards Jewish traditions and their applications to the
ever-changing conditions of the modern world. We feel a strong kinship
with all Jews and recognize the significant factors that unite us: the
basic faith in G-d, and the consciousness of a common destiny.
Our building is alive with activity. The Beth El Nursery School , Beth El Religious School and
Solomon Schechter Academy keep the
building filled with children’s laughter. Our Kadima and USY chapters
have regular meeting for students in middle school and high school. The
Hebrew Seniors have a kosher hot lunch each week and you will also find
aerobics and karate classes going on in the morning or evening. We have
a full range of adult education from Bible and Haftarah classes, to
classes on women’s health issues, a Sisterhood Rosh Hodesh group, and
our Jewish Home Depot series.
We have a daily minyan, Shabbat and holiday
services, as well as Junior Congregation for grades 3 through 6,
Tze’Irim for grades K through 2, and Tot Shabbat for preschoolers. We
have family Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, and activities for
all ages. Check the calendar for upcoming services and events.
