Mechirat Chametz ~ Sale of Chametz

Rabbi Kideckel will be handling the collective sale of chametz for the congregation. 

Members who wish to sell their chametz must submit their request designating Rabbi Kideckel as their agent.  Please fill out the form below and return it to the Beth El office before 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5th.  (No chametz may be eaten after 10:00 in the morning on the day of the first Passover seder.)  Alternatively, you may email or call the Beth El office (office@bethel-nl.org, 860-442-0418) requesting to be added to the listing for the sale of chametz.

  APPOINTMENT OF AGENT FOR SALE OF CHAMETZ

I, _______________________________________, hereby authorize Rabbi Earl Kideckel to act as   my agent to sell any chametz that may be in my possession, whether I know of it or not. This  applies regardless of where the chametz is    located: in my home, place of business, car or elsewhere. The sale shall be in      effect for the duration of Pesach which runs this year from sundown on Wednesday,    April 5th until complete darkness on Thursday, April 13th and is in accordance with    Jewish law.  At the holiday’s conclusion, Rabbi Kideckel is empowered to repurchase any remaining chametz on my behalf.

Please provide your name and the address(es) at which the chametz can be found via the PayPal link below.  You will also be offered the option of making a donation towards Ma'ot Hittim (poverty alleviation) in conjunction with your form submission.  However, no donation is required to complete the transaction (simply enter an amount of $0.00)
