Services

Beth El is an egalitarian conservative congregation. Women participate equally with men. We have services seven days a week, morning and evening. During the week, services are held in the chapel. Shabbat services are held both in the chapel and in the sanctuary when larger numbers require it. Those who have experienced the loss of a loved one find the minyan to be a place of great support. During the week of Shiva, services are held at the home of our members after the regular minyan in the evening. The members of the minyan come to the house and bring prayer books and kippot. In many ways, our regular daily minyan is the core of our synagogue. Many of our members have come on a regular basis for years. Friday night services as well as the Saturday morning service are led by the Rabbi and our members, including our students. We make a great effort to continue the involvement of our young people after their Bar Mitzvah. Torah reading assignments are given throughout the year as well as on high holidays. We have a large number of people, adults and children alike, who are able to read Torah and Haftorah.

Services are held on Zoom at the following times: Sunday through Thursday 7:30 p.m., Friday 7:00 p.m., and at Temple Emanu-El  on Saturday 10:00 a.m.
